Away at the Proclamation Trust's Women in Ministry conference. I did wonder beforehand whether they all would all be very scary, but guess what? It turns out that they all lovely! It's a very friendly conference - with delegates who love Jesus, are serious about the word of God and take a complimentarian view of women's ministry - three things that don't always go well together!
We've had some great sessions, workshops, worship and conversations over mealtimes and free times. I'm really praying that these women will go back to their various situations encouraged, equipped and excited about serving Jesus in their local church. Not all come from easy situations, but it is thrilling to hear how God is using ministry to women, children and families to deepen and grow the church.

PS - top tip (for one male speaker): don't say on a women in ministry conference: "I've brought my torn top to be sewn."
